Americans are dumb. That's what I garner from watching commercials on American TV. I fucking hate them. Pretentious, condescending, complete bullshit, misrepresenting, and outright lying to consumers.
Big offenders in my book:
Any commercial that claims it is showing hidden camera footage. Match.com and Dominoes Pizza were notorious for this. Hey Joe Blow Consumer, that's not really hidden first date footage on match.com's stupid commercials. Those are actors. The hot babe isnt really getting along with the hunk and they arent indicative of what you will find on match.com, eharmony, singlejews.com or whatever the fuck is out there. And that ridiculous Dominoes one where they have a "focus group" and they open up the back and end up being out in a field of tomatoes. The people all act surprised...Are you seriously trying to pass that off as real? Fuck you!
Any diet supplement commercial that claims you can lose weight by taking their magic pill. Its sad to me that people don't realize they can lose weight by eating less and exercising. Hell I am proof of that shit. You don't need to take a stupid pill to drop the pounds you assholes. You need to stop ordering the super sized double deep fried steak-fries and get off your ass, put down the PS3 controller and get some exercise. Whats even more alarming to me is, how many diet supplements in the past have been eventually linked to some sort of heart problem? Do you want to take that chance?
Insurance commercials that try to make you think that they really give a shit about anything other than your money. There was a State Farm one a few years ago where the agent was hugging the old fart who lost his house in a tornado. Fuck you! Liars! Just build me a new house in tornado alley you bastards and stick your hugs up your ass.
But the ones I hate the most are the ones that shove political correctness down my throat. When I was in high school, the white kids hung with the white kids, the blacks with the blacks, the Mexicans with the Mexicans, the Vietnamese with the Vietnamese (Biloxi had a large Vietnamese population), etc. This persisted after school was done for the day and after I was out of school. That's not to say I have never associated with someone of a different race, but it honestly rarely ever happened. So when I see these dumb commercials from the beer companies (seriously, where did your creativity go? I haven't seen a worthwhile beer commercial since the Budweiser frogs), McDonalds (gag), Restaurants, etc. I want to fucking puke. I know you want us to believe that we live in this wonderful world where everyone gets along and plays nice but its not reality. Stop pretending im a dumbass and show me something realistic, I might actually buy your shit products. Except the beer, unless im desperate ill never drink one of the big name beer brands in the US again.
